<Portrait Without Artists>, exhibition preface, 2018 (Kyung-Hwan Yeo, Curator, Seoul Museum of Art) Kim Moon's <Cheolsan-4-dong's People Exhibit> are portrait photos of Cheolsan-4-dong's residents, for which the artist asks the residents to select a place that will be the photograph's background, and makes a unique photo using a large format camera. Cheolsan-4-dong is emerging as a new residential area as it is attracting attention as a transportation hub, yet it is also an area where old townhouses that haven't been redeveloped still exist. It is an area that is undergoing a cultural transition period, where the government office is promoting urban regeneration projects to improve fire safety, beautification, and parking problems in the older areas. The artist collects portrait photos of people along with the stories of the main characters in the photographs, and rebuilds the regional, historical and geographical scope of Cheolsan-4-dong from the perspective of the local residents.
